Is the handicap we use when racing here in Charleston. PHRF is used all across the US so it has a broad bank of how different boats perform in various conditions.

Our trusted Katie Too, an Intrepid 9 Meter, can be found in this bank among 10 or so sibling boats of hers.

I have argued that my rating given to me by the local measurer is unfair, I have a hard time sailing up to that. I have referred to other yacht clubs rating of the same exact boat but no, I still have a 189 rating instead of a 220.

In today's paper I found out that the local measurer is legally blind. He's a really nice guy and I will stop whining over my rating, I have to practice to beat it and I will do that with a smile because I can't stop giggling.
